The overall idea speaks particularly to Brazilian aesthetics. The geometric, covered, and asymmetrical shapes are reminiscent of tile work. The exterior details are reminiscent of poster art, vernacular truck art, colonial architecture, a common feature in downtown areas, and the signs we see in small towns.
The logotypeface was selected due to its cartouche, made from a variety of geometric shapes, which could have been better developed. The subtitle font was meticulously chosen to "contrast" with the logotype itself, as it, in addition to being serif, conveys an air of sophistication and modernity—a fact that perfectly aligns with the exhibition's theme, which seeks to communicate with the past, recovering it, and assimilating it into the present.
Elements from artists such as Philippe Grimaldi and Rubem Valentim were incorporated into the logo. Their styles, shapes, colors, and specific details were incorporated. The shapes behind the letters can be described as asymmetrical and resemble the style of artist Rubem Valentim's varied works, as do the variegated colors. The logo's ornaments and external details connect with the posters created by Filipe Grimaldi.
To capture the attention of the Senac Nações Unidas Arts Exhibition's target audience, warm, vibrant colors were chosen. These colors reflect the 2024 theme, "Veredas de Nós," which focuses on celebrating the beauty of Brazil.
Green evokes the Amazon rainforest, a natural feature known worldwide for its flora and fauna.
Yellow, on the other hand, evokes colonial architecture. However, that's not the idea. This color was chosen to evoke the brightness of the sun that illuminates our days and is also present in our national flag.
Orange was chosen to harmonize with the other colors, thus creating an aesthetically pleasing impression.
